An award winning, gifted vocalist, over the years, Ron Sluga has become an accomplished musician on various stringed instruments. He began playing the mandolin at the age of three. It wasn't long before he graduated to the banjo and guitar. While only a senior in high school, at the age of seventeen, Ron began in Cleveland, Ohio recording with America's top polka recording artists and appearing on countless television and radio shows.

In addition to various and numerous honors and proclamations, Ron was revered as a nine-time winner of the Cleveland-Style Polka Hall of Fame's Sideman of the Year Award and 2001's Best Vocalist Award. In 2005, Ron was inducted into the National Cleveland-Style Polka Hall of Fame as a recipient of their highest honor, The Lifetime Achievement Award. Other honors include being an integral part of the first Polka Grammy® Award accepted by Frankie Yankovic in 1986 and a nomination with Canada's Polka King Walter Ostanek in 2006 for another Grammy® Award.

Ron's recording talents can be heard on over eighty music albums to date. He has performed in Rio de Janeiro, the Caribbean and Europe as well as a large part of the United States. Married to wife, Patty for thirty years, their union is more than one of love and encouragement. Their remarkably rare connection has spawned some of this era's most poignant and moving music. With Ron's incredible ability to write melodic compositions and Patty's natural gift of merging the stirring lyrics, the match has created a list of favorite tunes enjoyed by many around the world. Now you too, can enjoy some of their favorite tunes on this extraordinary new release along with several other selections of the most renowned polka bands.
